The original Folkstar model was released under the Airline and Supro brand names, and the design was a nod to the Valco founders’ past, producing resonator guitars under the moniker of National.
The modernized Folkstar is reproduced with a tone-chambered mahogany body rather than the tone-choking original fiberglass, and a blend knob that allows you to transition between a NY Mini Humbucker in the neck position and a piezo in the bridge. The Folkstar is a sure way to turn heads with a rainbow of unique resonant tones.
