This is a collectible reissue of one of Epiphone’s most iconic guitars. The 2011 50th Anniversary Casino faithfully recreates the look, feel, and sound of the original 1961 model that helped shape the sound of rock and roll. Only 1,961 of these special editions were made. This one is number #17, as confirmed by the included Certificate of Authenticity.

It features the historically correct open-book style headstock with a metal triangle “Bikini Badge”, vintage dot inlays, and a blank two-ply bullet truss rod cover. The Casino is fully hollow body—made from five-ply maple and birch which produces an unmistakable, resonant tone famously favored by The Beatles. The neck is a solid mahogany SlimTaper design with a 1960s-style profile, joined to the body using a traditional mortise and tenon joint that’s hand-fitted and glued for maximum sustain and resonance.

The Trapeze tailpiece stays true to the original design. It also includes black dog-ear P-90 pickups, a tortoise shell pickguard with a foil "E" logo, Wilkinson vintage-style tuners and a beautifully matched Royal Tan burst finish on both the top and back. The blue-label inside the soundhole and the correct neck joint at the 16th fret masterfully recreate it’s vintage accuracy.
