Sears 1422 40XL Vintage Tube Combo Amp (Silvertone Danelectro) USED

The Sears 1422 was also know as the 40XL. The “40” was know to be the theoretical output of 40 watts into its 12” speaker. It was marketed by Sears in the 1960’s and ‘70s and is considered to be a rare example of a Danlectro style Silvertone tube amp.

This 40XL looks good physically. There are some scratches in the covering and two small tears in the cloth grill cover. The red power light cover is missing but the light still turns on.

NOTE: The power tubes show some blue plating. We are leaving them in since the amp still plays and those are the original collectors tubes which have value. We would recommend replacing both if this amp is going to be played regularly. That is why we have this amp listed at a slightly discounted price.
