Jean Larrivée has been building guitars for over 55 years!All Larrivées are built from the finest materials available, no matter what series you own. Their combination of world-class craftsmanship and all solid wood construction results in a peerless instrument of legendary tone and quality.
No plys, no laminates, no "layered" woods. These guitars have been cherished by professionals, hobbyists, flatpickers, fingerpickers and the like since the inception of Jean Larrivée Guitars USA Inc.
The crisp, defined tones, tight bass, crystal clear voicings and precise playability, are all qualities Larrivée owners have come to expect.
They may not have the familiarity of other USA made guitars, but Larrivée offers the best value in an all-hardwood guitar.

Jean has built relationships in the logging industry, specifically seeking access to high-performance Sitka Spruce. But Jean not only wants the best wood, he wants to find it himself. Hand-selecting their wood ensures the best of the best.
The search takes Larrivée from the exotic jungles of West India to the supernatural rain forests of British Columbia. The wood then arrives at the factory, ready for a curing combination of air and kiln drying. Some will age in the warehouse for up to a decade to achieve optimum tonal properties.
Whatever the wood, whatever the model, when you pick up your Larrivée, you're part of an amazing story - from forest floor to the stage floor. Larrivée uses Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) wood, which means it meets the "gold standard" of ethical productionand engages in as much selective logging as possible.
Above all, their goal is 'Affordable Luxury' by sourcing high-quality tone woods and infusing innovative design. Jean’s aim is to put high-end guitars into the hands of everyday players. Larrivée doesn't want to build the most guitars. He wants to build the best affordable guitar possible!
All Larrivée guitars are hand-built by luthiers (not mass produced) in their factory in Oxnard, California.
